| The southern states have always carried a rich
heritage of Southern Gospel Music. It is from a small town in North Alabama, Dennis
Humphries realized a special calling upon his life, a call ordained by God. Having
been raised in a Christian home with parents who love God and southern gospel
music, the music of his life was there from early on. Through the encouragement
and support to which much credit is given to his parents Marvin and Helen Humphries,
Dennis began singing at a very young age. As a teenager while most are becoming
involved with other interest, he began his own southern gospel group with his
cousin Rena where they toured in AL, GA, and MS. His brother David played a great
part of his ministry and refers to him as the greatest soundman ever, as well
as giving total support. His late brother Danny was a great influence and
supporter of his Ministry.
As a teenager Dennis won several competitions singing the music He loves
the most, Gospel Music. His talents were recognized a few
years later the call came to which he began his professional career singing with
one of the top southern gospel groups. During this time singing with
Chosen, he was featured soloist on "Calvary Stands For Satan's Fall" that rose
to the top of the charts. After singing over 3 yrs with this group. He left
the road to become a full time Minister of Music in Meridianville, Alabama and
later to Mobile. Dennis felt the call to move to Nashville
where He worked for a prominent record company. He also still
loves leading Praise and Worship and directing Choir.
Dennis believes in letting the Holy Spirit direct him wherever He is. Their
is no doubt that you will be touched through his ministry.
His latest project with Gary McSpadden and produced by
Larry DeLawder is dedicated to his late brother Danny who in his own right was
a great musician and supporter of Dennis in all his efforts.
Today, Dennis Humphries is "Fulfilling The Call" to use the talents as given
by God. An accomplished piano player as well as singer, his talents and true ministry
styles are soon and easily recognized. We invite you to share an evening in ministry
with Dennis Humphries and experience the call on his life.
